Some of the funniest pet videos you have seen. Over ten minutes of side splitting funny pet tricks. I laughed at the flying cat, the frog that likes to float, the horses playing in the snow and all the dogs that like to do beer commercials.
The spring time is here and that means beautiful flowers are making their appearance with little blooms popping out all over. Grills are being pulled out and readied for the summer months of barbecues and family gatherings. We will hear the onset of birds as they chirp their beautiful melodies in the green lush trees. While all of this is going on little babies of all kinds are being born. From little chicks to puppies and kittens animals are being born everywhere. The downside to this season is this is the very difficult season for the animal shelters. They become full very quickly. The results of a full shelter are unthinkable. They have nowhere for the new arrivals to go which means a shorter time for animals to have in the shelter. There are actually very few that find homes in a shelter compared to hoe many actually need homes. The responsibilities lie on the pet owners to have their pets neutered and spayed. There are actually programs in place in our area to have feral cats fixed for a low cost to protect the feral cat populations from becoming out of control. The bottom line is for everyone that loves their pets please be responsible and do not let them breed.
When I was growing up I had a boxer dog. She likes spending her time outside. I can remember where we had to hot wire the fence with three wires because she was a great escape artist. Our boxer was part of family for eight years. When she got older she had a her chair to sleep in. But when I went to sleep she managed to jump on the bed and sleep between my legs. Anyway at seventy pounds and a mouth the size of a softball, I was very safe while I was sleeping. There was this one time that dad came home late, the walked into the room to pet her, she was older then and bit at his hand. Once she realize it was him, she got very submissive and embarrassed.
Animals are roaming free in so many of our neighborhoods it is important that pet owners take the responsibility to keep your dogs in a fence for their protection and to make certain that your pets are neutered and spayed. We love our animals and we do not want to contribute to the over population of animals in the shelters. The endings are not good for most of the animals that are put into the shelters. My family have worked placing animals for many years as an independent animal rescuer. It is rewarding and heartbreaking work but it has to be done. It seems the minute we place a dog or cat in a great home there is someone at our door with several more. It can be difficult to find homes for as many as we need to. That is why we are passionate about the spay programs that many areas offer.
